Step 1: Irrigation guidelines
(a) Guidelines for Irrigation: We establish and ensure our farmers adhere to these guidelines. For example, irrigation and heavy metal tests are shown to us at all costs on a monthly basis.
(b) PH Level Tests: Farmers should test the pH of their irrigation water at regular intervals, ideally once a month, in certified test labs such as the Bharat Test House, located in every town.
Step 2: Real-time monitoring
Obtaining A-Z data including date, time, whether it’s in-season or off-season, the PH test of the farmer, etc.
This information encompasses everything that can possibly affect the field and, in turn, the quality of the herb. This same information is shown to you under each of our products listed on our platform. For example, you can view the time, date, season, and water conditions under which the tea is cultivated.
Step 3: Job security for farmers
We establish annual supply agreements with most farmers to provide year-round stability, helping them manage low off-season demand and save them the trouble and costs associated with conducting b2b activities themselves. This commitment translates into reliable employment and greater job security, allowing them to thrive in their work and support their families.
With some farmers, we use the mandi system, allowing them to access multiple buyers. This helps mitigate risks from supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations with any single buyer. The mandi offers flexibility, enabling farmers to secure better prices or explore niche markets.
